Position Overview

Three Deep Marketing has an opening for a front end web developer. This position will involve production, modification and maintenance of web solutions for client accounts. Qualified candidates must demonstrate ability to bring design concepts to life through modern coding techniques.

Scope

Work collaboratively and proactively with Three Deep’s account team to assist with account management as part of an interactive, integrated marketing approach for clients. Tactics include paid search, search engine optimization, local search optimization, offer testing, and interactive reporting. Strategies and tactics must support efficient and effective marketing communications for our client base.

Primary Responsibilities

• Produce, modify and maintain web solutions using a variety of technologies
• Convert artist renderings into clean and semantic standards based web sites
• Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Work closely with programmers to produce technical, interactive and data driven websites
• Provide accurate and reasonable timing estimates for work based on known requirements
• Document processes and specifications where required
• Provide technical advice to other team members as needed
• Improve existing knowledge and skills through self-education, research and development, some of which may be outside of normal working hours
• Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends in accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies
• Disseminate technical knowledge to the rest of the team wherever possible
• Actively contribute and participate in discussions and design process as requested
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest possible standard, working outside of normal office hours if required
• Prioritize and manage your workload effectively
• Contribute to new business pitches as requested by Business Unit Head or Technical Manager
• Undertake other tasks as requested by your team leads
• Contribute to an environment that is conducive to producing breakthrough ideas

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of standards based development of HTML, XHTML, CSS with ability to demonstrate valid hand coded XHTML and CSS
• Ability to take a design concept/PSD file and turn it into clean, valid HTML/CSS
• Intimate knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Dreamweaver particularly)
• Ability to develop cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
• Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Mootools
• Experience with DHTML and AJAX desired
• Understanding of Web Accessibility and ability to demonstrate compliance with best practices
• Understanding of standard expected interfaces and basic user behaviors
• Knowledge of content management system (CMS) integration
• Must understand basics of web programming languages (PHP, ASP.NET) and XML for troubleshooting and integration
• Knowledge of SQL language and familiarity with databases
• Familiarity Web Analytics tracking codes and tags (JavaScript based)
• Knowledge of how clean design positively affects natural search engine optimization
• 3+ years of experience developing for medium to large business sites
• Experience with creating/modifying templates and modules for various blog, wiki and cms software offerings such as Drupal, vBulletin and WordPress
• Ability to optimize code for web pages to load quickly
• Experience working with a code repository such as CVS or Subversion

Education

College degree or equivalent related technical experience.
